Faulty EGR valve.EGR is exhaust gas recirulation and is typical to have a loss of power when it has gone bad.Replacement is easy,2 bolts hold it on and a vacuum line connection.Do this and get your power back so can climb hills again.

My 2000 jaguar s type is fluttering and not and it accerates allow and roughly, and i smelll gas

Get the car scanned and see what fault codes appear. Coil packs often fail causing power loss. It doesn't explain the fuel smell but to be safe check there are no leaks in the fuel system/pipes. The system is under a lot of pressure so a leak should be obvious, when was the fuel filter last changed?

My audi 100 1991 won't accelerate when warm. The

When you say wont accelerate does the RPM flares that would be the transmission slipping, or you step on the pedal all the way and the vehicle has lack of acceration you can hear a hissing noise that would be a plugged exhaust. Here the thing you related it to fuel has the problem on the ignition coil is a powerstage if this stage acts up it allows you to accelerate you just dont go anywhere it back fire through the intake that would be the power stage it located on the ignition coil

I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX that has been jerking when i accerate for two days. On the second day i took it to midas and he told me it was the motor mounts ( i beleve he was trying to rip me off)...

Motor mounts while cause a clunk noise while accelerating, but only once. I would suspect your fuel filter firstly is partially plugged, especially if it lacks power. If the jerking you are talking about is only present under acceleration or under load, such as climbing a hill. Then I would suspect a misfire, like a bad spark plug or wire shorting out. At 150,000 km if you haven't had a tune-up yet, I would highly recommend it. It is something you can do yourself and save the money. If you prefer not to, don't go to Midas. Go to a local respectable shop, and get a tune-up. It will include a fuel filter.

96 Toyota Tacoma lacks take off power and stumbles

Any trouble light? Sounds like it might be misfiring during acceleration which is more related to ignition quality than timing. Check the spark plugs--if badly worn, replace them. Might need new spark plug wiring. Check the air cleaner. Replace the O2 sensor if the truck has a lot of miles. Look for loose or cracked vacuum hoses.

I have a 1998 Mercury Topaz that starts to miss under acceleration and can hardly make 100k per hour. Ignition system is ok. The problem seems to be in the fuel system. New fuel filter installed and...

Even tho the ignition seems ok, I'd check the ignition cables to the plugs. Sometimes these break down over time... it will idle and drive ok, but when you need power for a hill, or acceration, that's when the wires faults start to show up.
A quick test is to put the car in drive with your left foot on the brake FIRMLY while you press the accerator... if the miss and lack of power shows up, it's usually the ignition cables to the plugs.
