signs of a bad fuel pressure regulator. the vehicle runs rough, the engine will not start usually in the mornings. many times engine starts but stalls shortly after starting. a bad regulator can result in fouled plugs. black soot on plugs, blake smoke from tailpipe, running rough, stalling. you could have residue in fuel tank and need to change fuel filter again. have a very good day !!

Humming may not mean pumping up to pressure. Has anyone put a fuel pressure gauge on it to confirm its up to spec? One thing you can try, is to remove air inlet hose from air cleaner where it attaches to the throttle body. With key off, open throttle up and give a good spray of WD-40 into the throttle body. Now try to start it. If it fires up briefly then stalls, then you have a fuel delivery problem, probably fuel pump, but try changing fuel filter first, in case it's plugged, causing low pressure at engine. If you have to change the pump, you'll want to change the filter as well anyway.

hello,
You have a bad oil pressure switch. I know that sounds strange but It feeds the fuel pump. Some times randomly the PCM does a self check and shuts off the fuel pump relay when it does this it runs off power from the oil pressure switch. The easiest way to confirm this as a diagnosis is to unplug the fuel pump relay when the engine is running. If it dies when you unplug it thats it. if not you will probably need a fuel pump or possibly just a cap and rotor (tune) but I belive it is the oil pressure switch.

I have a chrysler 2002 town and country van. The problem is

Have you had the fuel injection and throttle body cleaned yet? Sounds like a bad IAC motor, or dirty injectors. What motor is in it? Did you use the factory plugs and wires? If not, that is the first thing you need to do.
