Won't start how ? When your the key to the start position what happens ? The engine spins but won't start an run . this a crank no start condition . If nothing happens when you turn the key to start ,this is a no crank no start condition . Need to be clear on this so we know what to have check . If nothing happens when turning the key to start position ,try moving gear selector to neutral - park neutral safety switch . If when you turn the key to start an the engine does spin but doesn't start an run ,check for spark ,fuel pressure . see what's missing .

tow to shop most likely - - take down the vin number and call the local dealer and ask for any recalls -
also - if ur behind on payments many new companies have locks on their vehicles and shut them down for getting later - - just saying it happens

SOURCE: We have a 2002 Ford Escape, 3.0. Sometimes after driving it you can stop and turn it off but it won't start. After it has been parked for sometime, 3 hours or more it will start. Sometimes it will

I would try running it in the driveway for 10 or 15 min and see if the problem occurs. If you can duplicate the problem you can try to troubleshoot it.
When it will not start you need to figure out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel pressure problem. It could be a relay, or a crank sensor, or the fuel pump in the tank. I would expect to find something in the engine compartment that is getting hot and stops working.
I assume the check engine light is not on.

Sounds like a problem with your catalytic converter or possibly just an o2 sensor. If it is a cat problem I would make sure to have them address it b4 your warranty is up as they are typically very expensive!
