I've got the radio out using the euro keys that I got at Canadian tire and have been told that the fuse for the radio in my a6 quattro should be on the back side of the radio itself, but it's not. There's nothing there, just casing. Is it possibly inside the radio? Or another location altogether? Radio's completely dead (not in safe mode), no power at all. This seems to have occured when the alternator died. Got the alternator fixed but not the radio. Also having sunroof issues and having to close it manually. Any suggestions, especially on the radio, would be appreciated. The fuse you want to check is the F1-17 fuse in the battery junction box. This is the radio fuse.
The number F1-17 fuse is the red/yellow power wire at the radio. If the fuse is good pull the radio and check the red/yellow wire for power in, if you have power in , then suspect a bad radio. My next step would be to remove the radio and check the power wire going into the radio (red/yellow) . If you have power there, then the radio is likely bad. Ford has had major problems with the radios.
good tells me that is Do not turn on the Radio yes, i never do in church. LOL.. if the radio is dead, (only) the fuse is blown.) there is a car radio fuse, in the fuse box and some radios have inline fuse an others have a fuse box in the back of the radio. no 2 radios work the same. but all need power and all have 1 or more fuses.
you probably had ur radio on while you was getting the jump check the inside of the fuse box cover for the location of the fuse for your your radio if the fuse is not blown, if you radio is not the factory radio you may have to have the radio removed from the bracket and check the fuse behind the radio.
