Cruise control light is on when I press the button but when hit the 'set' it doesn't work. Is there a fuse that needs replaced or something more?
You can check the fuse but I would lean more towards the set button being bad.

make sure to check all the fuses and specially tmake sure your brakes lights works because they comuncate w/ cruise

The ESP was a recall,the dealer will honor that if you havent had it done.The cruise I had the same problem replaced it and its starting to go bad again. I think soon we will find it to be a recurring problem in all sportages.

Check the brake lighf bulbs. If even one is burnt out, it throws the sensors.
Had the same problem replaced both bulbs and now the esp light stays off and the cruise control sets.

same problem. very annoying. cant use cruise anymore. Exactly same problem. Speedometer arrow will actually jump up and down sometimes. Like heart monitor in hospital but with no sequence. And it just started doing it this winter. I think it has something to do with speed sensor.
