Look for the trans fluid dip stick. Get a funnel with a thin flexible hose at the bottom, and pour the trans fluid in where the dipstick goes. Give it a few mins to settle, and dip the stick to measure again. Add slowly to avoid overfill. If overfill, you will need to remove some, and that can be tricky.
(Shop vac, fluid container, etc... oe drin it from the bottom. )

What type and how much transmission fluid goes into the transaxle of a 2010 Dodge Journey diesel 6 speed Auto and where can I get a service kit for it

Transmission fluid is the lubricant for all the moving parts that make up your vehicle's transmission. Due to the heat generated in the transmission, the fluid can break down over time. What type of transmission fluid you need depends on your vehicle. Your car's manual provides transmission fluid service requirements. Regular transmission service is necessary to keep your car on the road. That's why O'Reilly Auto Parts has the transmission fluid your vehicle needs. email me for more information [email protected]

How do i find the transmission fluid dip stick on a 2001 honda passport?

There is no dipstick. The engine and transmission was designed by Isuzu up till 2002, and the automatic transmission was a sealed, no-maint. transmission. You will either need to purchase the special tools needed, or...........that's right, go to a transmission shop!!!

2000 Volkswagen Cabrio needs to be accelerated really hard before it goes reverse, and even then it goes very slowly. It drives well. I have checked the transmission fluid and it is good.

Best approach is to drain the tranny fluid and refill with new type F fluid. This fluid is great for restoring poor performance due to sticking clutch bands and valves.

Do I need to change the transmission fluid in a 2005 Honda Odyssey?

Hello rsl4god.....Yes indeed without doubt... you should change transmission fluid regularly using only original Honda transmission fluid. This is a simple drain & refill job on the Odyssey
.
Heres my take on transmission fluid...Trans fluid is the life blood of your transmission. A quality trans fluid is more important to your trans than a quality oil is to your engine. As heat in the trans goes up, the life of the fluid (and your trans) goes down. Sadly most people ignore the transmission until it breaks.
Hope this answers your question...
