HI, this code represents a failed MAP sensor. the circuit is malfunctioning(Insufficient Activity).

Replace the MAP sensor asap if possible.

The MAP sensor(Manifold absolute pressure sensor), is located on the back side of the intake manifold. on top.

Ok, if you have received the code once again after the map replacement, this will signal that you did not replace the map correctly or, the wires connected to the map are damaged.

  • Anonymous Jun 17, 2009

this code only concerns the map sensor. that it. check the map housing and wires for flaws.

I would also check the inspect the intake manifold gasket for leaks and worn corner as well. this can cause map sensor malfunctions.

    Good luck:)

Bad coolant temp sensor or EGR valve stuck. You can remove and test temp sensor (the one for the ECM--has only one wire) using cold and then hot water and read resistance with ohm meter.

2002 chevy trail blazer, ran fine, went to work then at noon it would not start. changed fuel pump, crank sensor, cam sensor, checked compressionand spark at coils, still no start

You threw a lot of parts and money at that thing guessing what MAY be wrong with it. Check any fuses that may be marked start, ign, etc. Do you have spark? The engine size would alos help.

1997 chevy blazer gets a po300 code and runs rough with no power. any suggestions?

p0300 is an engine misfire detected p0301 would be misfire detected on #1 cylinder and so no throught p0306SOo seeing its not related to any one cylinder i would check the crank shaft position sensor first because that and the cam shaft sensor is what detects all misfires Itcould also be caused by any of these sensors TP MAP IC VS ECT throttle position -manifold absuliute press -idle control -vehicle speed -engine coolant tempature By the way are you getting any codes or is your mil light on if so you should read the codes thatcould tell more then any one on line good luck

Most likely this is a false code being shown due to a faulty Map Sensor or O2 Sensor. Replace the O2 Sensor at the downstream position and double check any exposed wires for damage. I have had this problem in other vehicles, it turned out to be an exposed wire on the Downstream O2 sensor that was grounding causing a problem and a bad O2 Sensor. The MAP sensor will do the same thing on occasion but is less likely.

99 chevy blazer LS is popping out the tail pipe & carb code came up as po155

It is not a carb code as your vehicle has not carburetor. It is an OBD2 ECU code. What is means is that you have an O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1). In your case I would recommend you inspect all the wiring going to that O2 sensor. If you find no problems then I suggest you replace the O2 sensor. The sensor to replace is on the passenger side, the sensor closest to the engine. This will more than likely fix your problem. After replacing the sensor reset the Check Engine Light. If the problem comes back then seek professional help and do not replace any other parts.

The mass airflow can get dirty and you will get trouble codes for everything under the hood except for the mass airflow. Try unplugging your mass airflow and driving the vehicle, if your problem goes away you need to clean the sensor. Buy some mass airflow cleaner though because other cleaners can damage the coating on the sensor.
