Who charged it? If the system was completely empty when it was charged, it will not cool. You need to vaccum it down with a vaccum pump. Change your dryer and orfice tube. Then vaccum for a long time. You can rent the tools and instructions to do this from autozone for a fully refundable deposite. Hope this helps.

My 1999 Chevy Malibu runs hot? It started when it overheated. We changed the thermostat, then water pump, then temp sensor gauge and the temp gauge goes high but only when the heater stops blowing hot...

Air pockets will make the guage do that, and also cause your heat to come and go. Also, a poor radiator, as in rotting, or plugged up, will cause high temperature issues.

I have a 1999 323i BMW. The AC doesnt blow cold (on cool days it blows cool temperature but not common A/C Cold Air, Hot Days it blows Warm/Hot Air). The heater blows warm air but definitely not common...

First things first.....You must have the air conditioning system hooked up to an a/c system machine and then checked for leaks and also read low and high side pressures. If there are leaks then low Freon (R134a) content and low refrigerant oil can cause the a/c system to not engage the a/c compressor which basically means you will not have proper defrost functionality nor regular air conditioning. Most shops, when working with your air conditioning, will install air conditioning dye to assist them in locating leaks and is the first step in diagnosing all a/c systems. Post the findings after thw

Air conditioning is blowing out hot and cold air

It sounds like the dual climate control valve. It is supposed to close the valves when the a/c is turned on, but they get stuck sometimes. I have already replaced 2.

What happens is the valves get stuck and the engine heat will blow over the cool air making it feel warm, even though the a/c is working fine.

If it started out on one side of the car cooling better than the other than you can almost bet this is the problem.

They will be called a heater control valve by most auto parts stores. I think the part is Motorcraft YG378.

Another way to make sure this is the problem is to find the dccv and clamp the two top black hoses with pliers or something and see if the car gets cooler. It will still not get cold but this will let you know if the dccv is the problem.

Problem with air conditioning on 2001 mitsubishi mirage. "Sometimes" will not blow cold, just hot. Coolant level ok. Usually will will start blowing hot after runnning air while car is stopped at idle....

the air conditioning system has most likely drawn moisture this is not good take it to have the system recovered and a new restrictor valve put in. leak checked and recharged

Air conditioning blowing only highest setting but HOT air

Sounds like your freon has leaked out and your heater blower resistor is burned out. Deffinitly take this to the dealer.

Hi, my best advise is to have your air check for freon leaks ,low freon causes the compresor cluth to stop working ,this can cause the air to blow hot .......

Engine is over heating and blowing air into coolant resivor and boiling coolant

The blowing of air into the coolant resevour is caused by a leaking head gasket. What's happening is the cylinder is blowing air into the cooling system causing this to happen.
