Question about 1989 Chevrolet C/K 2500
I have a truck I just put a4l80e into ran fine for the first month it stopped shifting I would start truck in morning and go to a job site shut truck off and get back in it and it would not shift through the gears but let sit over night and start it would shift all gears again so I keep it running all day long as long as I don't shut it off after it is running it shifts can you help me

check the fluid in the slave cyclinder,it looks like a brake fluid tank, you need to use brake fluid in it also, look to see if you have one for brakes and one for the clutch, fill it up to full line ,hope to help

This is a common issue on '06+ Impalas, and is most frequent when
parking on an incline. It can be minimized by engaging the parking
brake before putting the car in Park.
Your brake light switch system controls the shift interlock system, you'll need to check that system first. Could be a shift interlock swith has gone faulty or the linkage is out of adjustment.
