SOURCE: improper fuel combustion; need to pass emissions test

Sounds like you need to replace your oxygen sensors.  If you have a four cylinder I think you only have one oxygen sensor and the six cylinder I know has 2.  You can check that out at your local parts store.  Anyway, the oxygen sensor helps the computers in your car make sure that you are getting the correct amount of fuel and air during combustion thus controlling your emissions.  I would think that if you haven't replace these in a while that is what is probably keeping you from passing your test.  Change the oxygen sensors and put a bottle of good fuel injector cleaner in a full tank of gas and you should be good to go.  I would suggest Greased Lightening fuel injector cleaner that can be purchased at Napa and O'Reilley Auto Parts.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for an honest rating and for using FixYa!

I have a check engine light with a code P0013: cam shaft circut. Will this pass an emissions test?

Most probably the system will not pass the emission test as it is related to air and fuel supply system. The problem relates high and low voltage supply to cam circuit. If high voltage is supplied the light will come on and you may not be able to pass the emission test.

Engine Check light

Take it to autozone or another place like it and have them read the codes and tell us what they are.

2004 Sebring failed the emissions testing

Probably not a cheap fix.
The car will not pass the test if the light is on during the test.
The light is on when the computer has a problem that will affect emissions or performance.
You would need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes then fix the problem. Once the problem is fixed and the code is erased, the light should stay off.

2000 Daewoo, check engine light is on. How to turn

hate to tell you this, but park next door to your test site, get out and disconnect your battery for about 30 secs. when you reconnect it,it puts your engine into an "open loop" mode, for about 25-50 miles, and while in the loop, that annoying light wont come on. you still need to goto auto zone and have them pull the codes to tell you whats going on to cause the light to come on,but this trick will get ya your inspection sticker.

Smog obd

It could be the o2 sensor, Try going for a bit of a drive and then getting the emissions test done. When the engine is hot, the test reads better.
