1994 Lincoln town car/ no fan control on ac and heat

The fan works when hooked direct to power but no fan control in car. Turn fan to high and it doesn't work. Some one said it may be the heater fuse or a relay. Don't know where either one is located and how to check if it is bad. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you for your quick response. This is my son's car. We checked all those fuses and they look fine. We are not sure if his car ac/heat is electronic or manuel. He said the temp. control on his dash is electronic-lcd screen but the fan control is like a scroll knob. Does it sound like electronic or manuel? If it is electronic, you said it could be the blower motor speed controller, where is it located?

I aasume you mean blower motor for heater/a/c system.

Does it work on hgih speed only? If yes, replace resister.

Is this manual a/c or electronic?

Here is circuit for manual. check these three fuses first. 1, 17 & 10 in fues panel behind dash or kick panel by driver's knee.

If you have electronic, you may have a bad "blower motor speed controller". Get used at car-part.com. page with asterisk is lowest price. New at tascafordparts.com

The only way the AC works is with the fan on high. The climate control does nothing on my '94 Lincoln Town Car

Often when they only run on high, it is the fan switch that needs replacing.
On the lower speeds the voltage runs though some resisters to slow the fan, on high its a direct contact

Heat/ac fan only blows on high

Check the heater control switch,,,,,and the number of wires at the heater motor....Some motors have more than one winding...in which case there will be three or more wires going into motor..there can be burnout in those windings and will require a new motor....check the plug which attaches to the motor....can be bad connection...or at the switch.....but if there is only two wires....then the heater switch uses resistors to slow down the different speeds...and direct connection for high speed....and the problem is definitely the switch...

Blower fan not working for heat and AC. THis is on a 2000 Lincoln towncar

This sounds like a BSC blower speed controller. it is located outside on the a/c case just below the heater hoses. to diagnose just wiggle the connector with the key on engine off, you should hear the fan come on, then replace it.
