Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I Changed The Cv Axel In A Prism With A Remanufactured I drove it about 5 miles there was some clicing the a thump thinking it was a bad cv axel I took it back andf got another after putting it in I drove it to the corner abd back and it happend again What Are The Chances Of The Cv Axel Going Bad Twice Or Is It My Transmission

When did it make the clicking. was it when turning sharp, if not it is another issue

You have CV joints in the front also, so it sounds like you have already diagnosed your problem. Go to an auto parts website and look at them. Hope that helps!

Did you ever figure out what the problem is/was. My jeep is doing similar thing. Clunking sound - almost like something is slipping, when turning very sharp.

For just a little bit more $ you can buy a complete axle already assembled. If you have Universal joints (not c/v, with boots), then yes they are fairly easy to do but you need to remove the brakes, rotor and hub bearing to get either of them out out. (easy instructions in haynes or chilton)

I owned a 93 GC 4x4 and I did replace my front axles with CV joint axles. The new axles came with CV joints, with a rubber boot and all so yes you can.
