SOURCE: car cranks but wont start

replace your injectors. your vehicle is getting the fuel to start from the starter fluid. however the injectors arent giving it the gas that it needs to stay cranked

SOURCE: turn key wont start- it cranks

check plug for fuel pump in harness near gas tank for corrosion and it may also have seoerated wire where it comes out of connecter the seperation may be from pulling on wires when pump replaced insulation may look alright because it streaches.

1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Wagon, car wont always start in the morning.

I would suspect a worn fuel pump in need of replacement. The rubber seals and gaskets shrink over time AND with the morning cold also loss of lubrication overnight could explain this phenomenon. Luck

Turns over wont start

You need to figure out what you do not have that an engine needs to run. What is the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? Do you have spark when cranking the engine? Are the fuel injectors operating? Do you have ample compression? When you figure out what you do not have, that will tell you what you need to fix.

Battery is ok but dose not want to start

O.K. let's see what we can find on this limited info (a) do you mean the engine is cranking and won't turn over or is there just a click or a series of rapid clicks when you turn the key(a1)if the cars cranking try spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid into the throttle body if it now turns over and then dies right away we have a fuel issue here, find the fuel pump relay and tap it a few time or if you have another relay handy change it if the problem continues after tapping or putting a new relay in your fuel pump went if you go to the gas tank and pound on it with a rubber mallet or rap it with a piece of wood while someone is cranking the engine it might turn over and if it does that fuel pump is shot and is going to shut down for good real soon get a new one do not try to drive the vehicle your going to break down on the road which is worse than at a parking space(1b)if your getting rapid clicks the cable connections are corroded and need to be cleaned at the battery and the starter and the ground on the engine block and at the power distribution box in the engine compartment , if you have done all of this and you just get one click or no click at all check the fuses if O.K. starter motor has bi the dust post back with progress and things done if still no turn over there could be a ignition module problem if there's fuel and strong cranking then there's no spark getting to the plugs or the plugs are out of gap so you see there is a lot of possibilities here and I'll try to help you the best I can so you need to be very specific about what's happening and what steps you have taken with no results I'm not there so I'm relying on you for the proper information to help you correct this problem STEPHEN

1994 Mazda PU Truck sometimes won't start if shutoff for 5-10 minutes.. Several tries later, it will start. spark seems ok, it gets enough fuel for a second, but then poops out. fuel pump shuto

Well there is no shutoff relay, but there is a fuel pump relay that powers the pump.
I would check it first. The computer grounds the relay for 3 seconds when you crank the engine to boost fuel pressure. Once the engine starts the pump is powered only if you have oil pressure.

2000 gmc jimmy starts in AM fine won't start after sitting in sun all day

Can you jumper the fuel pump and make it start and continue to run ?
Have you checked to see if you are getting spark when it won't start ?
Could be a relay or coil, ignition module, or other component.

Car starts, then doesn't, then does, then doesn't

check the fuel pump relay! It sounds like it is one of your relays. If it was an electrical or sensor problem, the check engine light would be on.

Fuel pump problem

it seems that your system is not maintaining it's prime and my guess is that your fuel pump realy is weak. what this means is that when you turn the ignition key you should hear the relay click which then primes the system and starts the vehicle. also if your vent tube on your fuel tank is plugged you get in eccsence a vapor lock. i would start by looking at these first if you need further help just click on my user tab on the site

Jeep won't start until a clicking sound comes from fuse box

The click you hear is the fuel pump relay. It gets its signal to energize from the PCM.If you have a faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor, the PCM will not work. Check for a bad fuel pump relay and also all of the other sensors: Camshaft Position Sensor, MAP Sensor, Idle air Control, Intake Air Sensor, etc.
