CHECK,JUST FOR A GOOF, THE BODY CONNECTOR OF NEG. BATTERY CABLE. BESIDE PCM AND POSITIVE BATTERY POST. DOWN ON INNER FENDER YOU'LL SEE A 10MM BOLT AND THE ROUND CABLE END. I HAD ONE IN FOR REPAIRS, AND FROM FACTORY, FENDER WAS PAINTED AND BOLTNOT CLEAN BUT DARK-GREYISH. REPLACED BOLT AFTER SCUFFING UP FENDER AND CABLE-END AND THREADED HOLE AND PUTTING ELEC. GREASE ON IT, TA-DA. ALL POWER RESTORED.

Engine won't turn over, no clicking or anything. Total silence. Battery terminals have been cleaned, battery is newer...... when ignition is turned on, air conditioning runs, lights do not dim, radio works...

try giggling the shifter or starting it in neutral--possible interlock switch failing. Also could be your anti-theft system--try using other factory key

Ican turn the key on and I get dash lights when I turn it over nothing happens but sometimes when I kept it turned over it would eventually start. do you think my problem is in the ignition at the key

if you turn the key and the engine doesnt turn over..then its ill have something to do with the starter or the ignition..if it turns over but it takes a while to start then it may be improper gas mixture, low cylinder pressure or a number out things...if you can be more specific then ill be happy to try and help...

My 98 max wont start sometimes you turn the ignition nothing happens, eventually it sarts, sometimes immediately, sometimes 10-15 mins later it starts

sounds like ignition cylinder has gone bad, try sliding key in and out while turn key and if key slops around cylinder is bad

Turn key, nothing happens

It could be the park/neutral switch, next time it doesn't start try wiggling the shifter in park while turning the key, or shift to neutral and see if that will work. if that doesn't change the problem I would replace the ignition switch.
