Ok , this is easy (dead even at first start?)
we can do this step by step if you want

  1. Does blower blow? (heater fan) no, then fix that first.
  2. Does the A/C button light glow, it must.
  3. Does the compressor spin, A.C on.?
  4. yes, then the freon loop has issues, get help there.
  5. no, bet its this, huh? and is caused by the A./C amp logic module detecting errrors, we check the pins on that model with any volt meter to find true cause. One cause is too much freon.
  6. Engine over heat sensor for A.C bad or wires there grounding out.
  7. Engine overload. ECU can tell A>C to cut out for 2 reasons.
  8. EVAP core freezes up (ice) works at start the fails later?
  9. is the AC accelerator switch closed, if stuck closed there will not be any AC compressor action. (a throttle pedal switch)
  10. Is the yellow wire at Hi/low Freon switch at 12v, if not there will be no A/C due to AC compressor relay dropping out.
  11. if the pink wire on the AC comp relay is 12v then the AMP is not happy, its logic is defeating the AC. to find cause look at the AMP.
  12. AMP pin 12 yel/blk must be 0v or overheated , or this sensor is bad or the wire fell off it. easy huh ,with a voltmeter>?
  13. AMP pin 11, blu/blk. 12volts or AMP shuts you down.
  14. AMP pin 5 has must be 12v, not 0v, and is 2 sensors. the wire color there is green-red. the transaxle cut switch or the throttle cut switch must not be closed and forcing this pin to 0v. yes, use any voltmeter on this pin. unplug each sensor 1 by one to find who is wrong (closed)
  15. Amp Pin 1, blue-red, is power 12vdc power, if not 12v the amp shuts down. (no power no joy)
this is mostly it. i have the schematic, (ask for it)
or read it all online at alldata.com, like me.

SOURCE: laging 1994 metro geo that is losing horse power

If your geo is losing power ,first thing to do is a comprision test .
if its testing any thing below 100 psi you may have to replace the piston rings.

SOURCE: 1994 Metro Geo rough idling and lagging up hills

dunno if it'll fix it- but check your pcv valve - 5$ for a new one - also check your egr valve- should be able to move depress it with your finger- if not, carb cleaner is safe to use to clean it up- remove it and clean it. this should help the idle

Please show me the line where I recharge the freon on 96 geo metro. I can't find the low side

Typically the fitting on the recharge kit will only fit on the low-side line. Here is a good website that explains the recharge process:

Want to remove air condition system from 1994 Geo Metro. How do i discharge system

You need to take it to a shop and have them evacuate the ac. Unless you have a AC machine at home. It is against Federal law to vent AC refrigerate in to the air.
