Why does my hazard lights come on and stay on while driving

By definition, your hazard lights are for use in hazardous conditions.if other drivers are paying attention and see them flashing on your vehicle then they should also take precaution and heed the potential hazard. It is a violation to use hazard lights as a way to get somewhere faster than you normally would. They are strictly to be used to warn others to take heed.

If hazard switch wont stay engaged and the turn signals run through it I would replace hazard switch then retest

Has the HAZARD switch been activated? If the switch is off then there may be a problem with the switch or the flasher module.

run the fault codes to find the sensor that is putting the light on and replace/repair the faulty unit. It is simply very false economy to run tanks empty as the fuel pumps need fuel to lubricate the gears and if that is intermittent of not there that plastic gears fail and pumps are not cheap.

GM sells a repair kit for the switch. you don't have to remove anything but the switch. I believe instructions come with switch/button kit. first time you do it is pain but not too bad

on some cars if the circuit isn't complete the hazard lights will stay on.... most the time its due to the switch for the hazard lights getting unplugged some how

i have a problem with my navigator ..it just started ..went im driving it the inside of my lights flicker off and on and when i park it and turn off the key ..the inside light stays on and outside on the foot rail stays on on just the driver side ..and so i have to remove the battery cable so it wont drain my battery ..can you please tell me what could be wrong with it ..

i would hazard a guess and say that wires in the rubber boot from the door pilar to the door are damaged or the connection block in the door pillar in this the terminals are corroded or something similar

I has a similar problem and I just took the battery out of my remote. I think there is a problem/ short in the remote. It's as if the button is being pressed when it is not. I will use my spare one in the mean time. It was driving me crazy becuase I was driving long distance at the time and when I removed the battery it stopped. I hope this works for you!
