Check your main in-line fuel filter and replace if necessary - it's usually under the floor ahead of the fuel tank - also any that may be fitted before the throttle body.

There can be numerous issues that can cause this. The next step is to have the car scanned for fault codes so a proper diagnosis can be done from there.

So take the car to Holden service or to a competent Holden specialist that has the right scan equipment for your car and knows these engines.

Go to library and see if they have repair manual for this car. Otherwise buy one at dealer.

check for condition of the air intake pipes and vacuum hoses as a small split could cause this sort of symptom ,try a fuel addative to give the fuel system and engine components a good clean through ( bit like a decoke but a lot easier and cheaper) may have to repaet to get full benefit follow the makers instructions

Being a General motors designed car, it will be located inside the fuel cell. You will have to remove the tank to access it, there are no shortcuts
