Put a jack under motor to support the motor then replace. Might want to put a 2x4 and some rags or blanket between motor and jack to prevent damage

Ok, first off apply E brake. Second, locate motor mounts usually on side bottom, connect to frame. Third jack up car place jack stands. Fourth,disconnect all wiring, maf, pretty much anything and everything that will get in way. Fifth, grab cherry picker, connect engine to cherry picker. Sixth, disconnect engine from trans, or leave connected but might be more difficult for some. Seventh,unbolt engine from mounts(usually 3or so bolts on each mount), do not rock engine, raise cherry picker(or crane some call it different)when tension on chain slowly rock engine. Should pop out unless you missed a bolt.

Two ways no need to pull engine
One lets start with cherry picker engine hoist unbolt mounts slide bolts
Lift to desired height of two inches 4x4 accross inner tire wells now chain down to 4x4 pull pan off 10 minutes done
The other way is mobile home jack stands under motor mounts and mounted 4x4 at top chained down never on the front clip but on inner tire well
They make a specific engine lift on wheel wells for this your not lifting engine high enough but enough to get the pan off safely

Im sure your 95 is no different then my 01 sonoma 4x4 u shouldn't need a cherry picker to do the engine mounts a small block of wood and a floor jack to support the engine from underneath and take a little bit of the load off the mount should work you dont have to lift the engine out to do them its not easy this way but is possible and cost less money working for a gm parts department and a former tech you would be spending and average of 75 to 100 an hour labor wise depending on what shop u take it to and what shop labor rates at like near you I would estimate an easy 2 hours labor but it all goes by book time thats or determined at the shops

Changing out transmission mount on a 96 dodge intrepid
this is a fairly easy fix, youll need to undo the mount bolts and with a jack from the bottom or a cherry picker from the top lift up the ****** enough to wiggle the mounts out (or drop the ****** if they are top mount) you may also need need to loosen the motors mounts to allow everything to move as well as remove the half shafts from the transmission to allow movement. depends on how far you need to move it in order to wiggle the mounts out. i always reccomend buying a haynes or chilton repair manual. as it covers step by step how to perform alot of these repairs in simple step by step format (if you can bake a cake by direction then you can work on a car) and they are ussually around 10 to 15 bucks. not a bad investment. hope this helps! good luck

How to change the motor mounts on a 2004 sedona
Loosen motor mount bolts, raise engine off mount/s (with a cherry picker or carefully with a floor jack with a block of wood on it). Remove old mount/s. Put the new mount/s in place on block, inserting the bolts, but not tightening them just yet. Use a rolling head pry bar (or whatever you have that works) to align the mount/s with the frame bracket/s and bolt hole/s. Now you can tighten the bolts. Hope this helps you.

Drain the oil completely, remove all the bolts and drop the pan. On 84 I don't believe you have to remove the tranny. Just remove the bolts.

Do i have to remove motor mount in order to change serpentine belt on 97 pontiac bonneville 3.8 liter not the super charged. any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated
If you remove a motor mount without a cherry picker or hoist holding the engine in place, you run the risk of crushing yourself under your car. Each motor mount is two separate pieces of metal held together by a fairly large bolt in the middle. One end of one piece is attached to the engine block the other is attached to the frame of the vehicle. But I would suggest not attempting this without someone's help that knows how to do this. If you're not sure where the motor mounts are it leads me to believe that you will either break an expensive part or kill yourself.

The other option, but be warned could cause damage to the motor mounts, is to use a cherry picker to lift the engine up enough to clear the alternator from the engine bay.

Usually the best way is to use a jack with a piece of wood under the oil pan. You should be able to jack up the motor far enough to remove the mounts. Or a engine hoist (cherry picker) can be used.

Replacing motor mounts
It's not as easy as it sounds. Basically you will need to lift the engine off the frame and unbolt the old ones off. I highly doubt that you can do this without disconnecting the transmission. Definitely something that you want an experienced mechanic to help with. It may just not be worth it. If you can lift the engine with the transmission attached (if there is enough room to tilt it up), that would be the best bet but you will need an engine hoist or cherry picker to do this. (THIS IS NOT FOR AN AMATEUR)
