How to replace window 2001 renault laguna

driver side window. first you need to take off door card. 2 torx screws at base or dooe and one behind the door handle under a little tab. then pull the door card towards you from the bottom, this takes some time to ease off due to being glued. unclip the door wire from the door pull. twist the bulb hold at base of door and pull bulb holder out of door. next pull the door window switched out and unplug the 3 plugs and feed out of door card. next pull the mirror control towards you and up and unplug it wire loom and feed out of door card.

now with your door card out of the way. you can see that you have 2 runners that will move up and down each will have a plastic lug sticking out which your window with its plastic guards will sit on.

slide your new window in through the window opening having removed both internal and external trim pieces. until the window is sitting in the rear of door groove and next to the lugs.

wiggle the window until both the window holes and plastic covers are sitting around the lugs, then slide the locking clips over the end of the lug.

replace trim pieces inside and out then reverse the fitting of door card as above

Problem with power windows

most likely the window regulators. these make sure the window is pulled and pushed evenly. if this is faulty or damaged then the window will be pulled at an angle. new regulator is probably the easiest option

My rear doors on my Toyota Sienna will not open either from the inside or out. Suggestions?

The same thing happened to us. We have a 2000. The fix is easy, sort of. From the inside of the van, remove the bolts holding the handle and the pull ******** the hatch (inside). Then, starting from the top of the window, remove the plastic molding. It just snaps off. After you remove the top window plastic, then remove the molding on either side of the window, and finally, the large piece covering the inside of the hatch. Once you remove all the plastic, you will see a cable leading to the hatch clasp at the bottom of the door. Just pull the cable and the hatch will open.

Other comments tell us thet, i
f you can remove the inner door panel you will see a maze of cables running to the various locking points on the sliding door. If the cable going to the front latch on the sliding door is broken (or in my case, simply dislodged inside the door) the door acts as if it is frozen shut.

The front cable is short, and easily replaced even by a newbie mechanic.

Need proper steps for convertible top operation

The top can be used as a sunroof or taken off completely. For the sunroof, you only have to unclip the two clips by each sun visor, and fold the front bow back so it sits on top of the roll bar. There is a velcro strip that goes through a hole in the front bow, to keep it in place.
To totally take the top off, you again uncleip the 2 clips by the sun visor. When the front bow is moved partway back, the material on the front bow is loose. There are sliding clips on the front of the convertible top that are slid along the front bow, so that the material is removed from the bow itself. Along each of the doors is an elastic clip that needs to be removed. Now the front of the top is pretty loose. Around the rear windows is a metal bar, with fabric snapped around it. Undo the snaps. Then forcefully push the metal bar outwards. The material around the rear window area can then be removed from around the metal bar. At this point, you can probably unzip the rear window. There are 2 pieces of plastic that slide into plastic grooves at the very rear of each corner of the car, that hold the rear of the top down. You just pull the rear of the fabric away from the rear corner of the car. And that's it.

The rear hatch seem to be jammed or stuck it wont open at all how can i get it open

Crawl thru the front to the rear of the truck, Remove the two screws on the gate release handle (they are underneath the handle, two philips).
Gently pull on the plastic panel by the release handle, it will come out about 4 inches, it should be enough if you have a small arm (which I have.) I wedged a plastic 20oz bottle between the rear gate and the inner plastic panel, to keep the plastic held out, don't over stress the plastic it will break if its old enough, look down from the window hatch about 5 inches or so and notice the 2" x 3" opening, there is a lever in there that is moved by the actuator, and a piece of plastic (which is what my friends truck needs, if someone has a part number or aftermarket please advise) but if you reach in to that access panel, there is a slide that moves from right (looking at the gate from the inside) to left, moving it to the left (Opens the window)
Apon opening the window, remove the plastic bottle, and open the rear gate hatch, when the hatch is open there are two screws one on the left side of the gate, and on the right side.I hope this helps you out, remember: don't overstress the plastic, strip out the screws, or break the window..
Once you have everything out, you can replace the actuator or fix the wire leads that may have come loose form the rear door actuator keep you from opening the rear window.
Good luck and thank you for using fixya
