2000 Ford focus se wagon overheat

When I drive in very slow traffic, my car always overheat. When it is moving or get on the highway, the temp gauge seems to be normal. Is there anything wrong with the fan relay or radiator temp sensor etc? Thanks in advance for your help.

1996 Grand AM, 3.1 engine. Radiator fan does not come on. Checked fan motor and it checks out OK. Replaced sensor by the thermostat for fan control. Temp gauge works OK. On the highway (55mph or...

check you're fuse's for the fan. At highway speed's there is enough air flow for the radiator to cool the motor. If not run the fan from a switch from battery to fan as a last resort.

My car is overheatting i changed the waterpump/thermostat/heatercore/reservoir and sensors

Does it slowly overheat while driving down the highway..If so the radiator is probably clogged..It can be partially clogged and cause the car to overheat,,but usually takes a little while...If it overheats in traffic..(stop and go ),,but does fine going down the road,,then it make sure your fan is coming on..

Dash temp guage goes to red on 2000 ford focus dohc zetech

Because you have done so many repairs already I would most likely say that the gauge is defective. I would use a manual temp probe and probe the coolant temp after the car has reached operating temp. Coolant will be between 180- 230 degrees. If coolant temp checks out and you can see coolant moving in radiator and the vehicle does not overheat then you will need either a gauge or a coolant sensor. To locate the sensor it should either be mounted in the thermostat goose neck housing or the intake manifold.

2005 Kia Sedona...begins to overheat in slow traffic

I would check to see if the radiator fans are coming on. Also check the freon pressure in the A/C system.
