P1414 engine light is on i erased it as soon as i started car it came on please help me

Was the oil changed?

ok code p1414 is a secondary air injection system monitor circuit high voltage air pump short, code p3400 is a faulty cylinder deactivation solenoid,it could be a fault in the harness or poor electrical connection

If engine soon light still on then you have code in PCM or you have to erase code
there is no reset for the light

hi your service soon light is on ok well this is what you do is get a scanalizer plug it in to the port in the car and erase the code that makes this light to come on or take your car in to a service station and they should have the ability to rest it there.

Usually takes quite a few starts before it will erase/reset itself, such as 50 on some vehicles. Can always return to autozone and ask to scan and erase, then see if it comes back.

just wait. The code will go out soon enough. you can always borrow a code reader and erase the code.

The service engine soon light can be reset using an OBD-II Scanner's Erase Code function (button).

I got one for $98 plus tax at Walmart that has this function and should work on your vehicle.

Otherwise, the code may erase after 40 or more cycles of starting and shutting off the car's ignition, if there isn't something causing it go on consistently.

I would read the codes stored in the computer to see if it's something simple to repair.

Those codes are associated with the Secondary Air Injection. I too had the same codes on my 2003 Discovery. From reading Land Rover forums online, I determined that it is likely the Secondary Air Injection Solenoid that has gone bad. It is a $20 part that you can buy on atlanticbritish.com and install yourself without any tools. The hardest part was getting the original solenoid off -- it is simply clipped on with a plastic arm that is built into the part.

Does your Secondary Air Injection come on at random times? Mine would also come on sometimes at stop lights even after the engine had already warmed up. That is another sign that you might have the same problem and need to replace the solenoid. Before I replaced the solenoid, I had turned off the check engine light and noticed it came back on immediately after the secondary air injection went off after starting the truck cold a few times. After replacing the solenoid, I have yet to see the check engine light return.
