SOURCE: p0471 and p2002 codes, Audi A6 2.0 DPF S-Line Auto

A6 2.0 TDI 1997
Got same problem around 35000Km. Engine light on with same error P0471. I was in France, Audi reset error and found nothing suspect. 4 weeks later same problem. (I felt engine was executing filter regeneration cycle very often). After 1 more week, Exhaust symbol came into large display and engine into safe mode (max 90Km/h). Contacted my Audi dealer in Belgium. They immediately told me pressure sensor (measures obstruction over DPF) was defective ; happens more often. Car was just beyond 2 Y old. Replaced under warranty. No more problems.

Now i dont know a lot about automatics especially modern ones with all this fancy electronics thats used nowdays but i think its a fault with the temperature sensor for the gearbox. But where its located and what it looks like i have no idea it could even be mounted inside the gearbox .Sorry not a very good answer from a mechanic but?? very few of our europeon cars come with auto transmission .Evan when i do know whats wrong i cannot buy the parts for the gearbox as only re-con boxes supplied by the dealer so best advice is to try a specialist in auto box repairs only .PS some of my best students when i used to teach mechanics many moons ago were the girls so no excuses like iam only a girl please

What grade (or part number) of automatic transmission fluid do I put into a 2008 Audi A6 S-line. The car has a 2.0 TDi with 6 speed automatic (tiptronic) gearbox

It is imperative you use the correct fluid in your Audi tiptronic transmission. Look in your owners manual for the correct fluid. If you do not have an owners manual call your local Audi dealer or better yet drive to one and purchase Audi Pentosin A/T fluid from the dealer. Do not use Dexron III as it is not designed for the Triptonic transmission. A transmission is very expensive to replace so do not take any chances and just buy your fluid from your Audi dealer even though you may pay a little more. That way you are 100% sure you are using the correct fluid.

2000 audi a6 powerless on hills and only goes in drive and reverse

You need to get into a transmission shop right away. The fluid/filter may just need to be changed, or it could go way beyond that.

Check engine light on 2005 town and country 3.3

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

Translation:
Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.

P0700 Information Code

The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM.

This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes.

P1776: Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in Low/Reverse Position. The TCM monitors the L/R solenoid to ensure that the fluid transfer happens. It uses a Pressure switch to verify this. Usually this code is set by a switch that is stuck or a solenoid that is not mechanically operating.

A transmission shop would be better suited for this type of work.

Allroad Tiptronic Gearbox "holding" gears before changing up.

Have you had the vehicle put on a diagnostic machine, does the car feel slugish, any lack of power, we have seen a lot of these vehicles with air mass sensor faults. When they fail they do not show a code but with the right scanner they can be seen not working. This affects the gearchange because the ecu does not have the correct data to shift. Of course it could also be the transmission is in need of overhaul. but i would take it to a good diagnostic garage first. It is not uncommon for the air mass sensor to fail after it has been disturbed or knocked in the workshop. we have never found out why.

A3 power surges

run the fault codes
could be a transmission actuator problem as it senses vacuum changes when moving the accelerator and tries to change ratios ( 2000 to 2500 rpm indicates a ratio change which is the speed increase momentarily until the Transmission range sensor puts it back in the correct ratio for the road speed
check the wiring to the transmission
it is a sensor problem not a transmission failing

Problem...can't find the solution..pls HELP me

It's a transmission system failure. Take it to an Audi dealer or a euro-car specialist. When the indicators light up like that, there IS a transmission fault code stored in the controller. The shop can use diagnostic software to retrieve the code so they can fix the problem. There are several things that can cause this to happen, so you have to have that code scanned before you can start to repair it.
