It's probably the ignition key switch located on the left side of the steering wheel. This is a fairly inexpensive part, but pay the 2 or 3 bucks more for a name brand switch as the really cheap ones only last a short time.

Testimonial: "Hey gterranova, thanks for responding. I actually needed to replace the box under the dash to get it working. But your suggestion worked for a friend of mine. So again thank you a million."

SOURCE: new battary now car stalls

did you clean the batt connectors when you installed new batt. if terminals are corroded they produce a volotage drop that some of the electronics in the car will see as no voltage to the chips

Testimonial: "great starting place that is where i went first. the other day."

Radio and blinkers fail unless u shake the keys

This sounds like the ignition switch needs to be replaced. These are very typical symptoms of a common problem in these vehicles. It is probably not related to anything you did, but be sure you don't have a lot of weight hanging from your keyring.

My car stereo only works in aux

Sounds like you have a dodgy connection in stereo's wiring if it works sometimes. Hope this helps.

Starts and dies unless I rev it up then it will Idle

The battery might be low but I doubt it is causing the "no idle" problem.
You should have an idle air control valve that the computer uses to adjust idle speed. That valve could be faulty or dirty.
Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ?

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango and we have been having blinker problems too lately. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didnt, and the other day they went out completely. They have been doing this for a...

that vehicle has a desperate relay for the hazards which is why they work, you have a defective signal flasher sometimes called a signal relay, follow the noise to locate exactly where the part is, usually under driver side of dash, it is a very cheap part and easy to install.

Blinkers do not work unless i hold them down

Your blinker switch is broken and needs to be replaced. you can pick one up , but putting it in wont be that easy. you will need a puller set and some other tools. take it easy on the next one because you wouldn't want to fix more than once. take care and good luck.

2006 Dodge Ram 2500, A/C blows hot at idle & blows cold at highway speed, has new compressor, any solutions?

i had the same problem in my 2003 Durango!!
turns out the auxiliary fan was not working!!
that fan should run all the time when the a/c is on!!
so start the truck, turn the a/c on and then go look at the aux fan (the plastic electric one attached to the radiator) and make sure it is spinning!!

With the key OFF, turn on parking lamps and emergency flashers. Then walk around the entire car, looking for lamps changing brilliance. Any that DON'T change brilliance either have a bad bulb or a bad ground connection!
