Purchased a 93 Lesabre about a week ago with 98k on it. While switching the batteries out I accidentally arched the battery. Now the only thing that works is the drivers puddle light. All fuses on drivers side and under the hood have tested good. I swapped out each relay with a new one to eliminate them as a problem. So far I've found that there is one relay(4th from left) that isn't getting power to it and the passenger side fuse box under the dash also isn't getting any power to it. All fuses in the panel seem to be ok. Im not sure how to find the problem...
There are two under hood fuse blocks, a left side and a right side fuse block. Did you check them all? Sounds like you blew a maxi fuse.
Nathan, sorry can't help you more. You will need to get hold of a wiring diagram to see how that fuse block gets power-I thought it would be from a maxi fuse, but if all are good and have power to them, I don't know. Did you check the blower speed relay for a power feed with key on, and maybe heater fan control on? This problem may be related-I would have thought the relay would have a hot at all times power feed source, but don't know for sure. Check to see if the car has fusible links. I don't think so, but that's why you will need a wiring diagram.

Good you have tried it! I pressume all fuses and relays are fine. Check if there are broken wires from the main source of the distritbution fuse boxes. Now, try to supply the said relay (from the left) using jumper wires from the distribution fuse box voltage source. Goodluck.

yes there is a relay switch in engine compartment or under dash

I would check around the starter for a fusible link that stretches with about 5 lbs. of pull, when blown. They can be identified by seeing a small foam rubber round piece on the apparently color coded wires coming off of the starter. This may explain why the accessories are not working correctly and the regular fuses are not blown.
Good luck on this repair.

possible horn itself is faulty and needs replacing. you will need to locate where the horn is and apply power to the horn from the battery. if the horn sounds then you know that it is a broken wire th=o the horn

Yes I checked both left and right fuse boxes. All have tested good with a test light. Only thing Icould find without power under the hood was 1 relay. Then the entire pass side fuse box also without power.
Can these wires pop anywhere or is there a dedicated section? I've checked the wires from fuse box to firewall and all appear ok. I will have to remove the dash to get to the rest of the wires. Does this relay provide power to the box?
Blower Speed relay is the one without power. Not sure why that would affect the pass fuse boxes power. Im thinking it may only have power when the fan is running. Which would leave me with only having a dead pass side fuse box
