Our dashboard light symbol that looks like the sun stays on

Headlights failure.
If the yellow symbol appear as soon as you turn on the dashboard, stop's light bulbs may be the problem.
If the yellow symbol appear when you switch-on lights, the problem may comes from the position's light bulbs.
Ensure that all of the light bulbs are fully working.

it means there is a code in the computer that needs to be checked and repaired in order to turn off the light.

You owner's manual explains all lights and their symbols. Why not try some skf help and look through it?

Could you specify which light? there are about 20 lights on the dashboard.

It should be letting you know that you have a tire pressure problem. If you still have the owners manual read it. It will explain what to do, what to look for and how to reset the light if need be.

What This Symbol Mean?

I have the same car and I am not in front of it but I will look to be sure however I think by your description that you have described the parking brake lamp. if thats not it respond back and I will have more info later this evening.

If iam not mistaking i believe it is to operate the cargo lamp for the bed.
