Ford capri ignition problems

I have a ford capri with a 2.8l V6 cologne engine. The ignition is Megajolt via an EDIS6 trigger. Fuel system is constant injection (k-jetronic). The problem is, is that after a period of driving the engine will lose power and cut out (generally 20-30 minutes driving). The engine will always restart but only for a few seconds. The longer i leave it before attempting a restart, the longer it will continue to run. If i wait, lets say and hour or so for the engine to return to 'stone cold' it will start and run perfectly for another 30mins. what might this be. cheers

My 1996 ford ranger when it gets wArm it starts to die out and will not run

Ranger not ford f100 Ranger.
When did it last run perfectly, last week, last decade or? never seen it run right..
lots of causes over up to 50.
I gets warm means engine,or outside air? temps.

so the spark plugs are bad or fouled. replace those old HV spark wires now.
it's over heating? the engine.
bad fuel
the classic answer is
bad engine, bad spark, bad fueling , in that order
or is the cause (or EFI failing)<< sensor etc.
this USA car (if is ) can OBD2 scanned easy, scan it.
do you want us to guess,? only.
or do tests, will you buy test tools to solve this?
there are tests for each cause of failure.
die out we call stalling engine,
when it wants to stall, can the fast right foot save the stall?
I guess car engine starts and runs cold? every time?
ever get a turn up,

engines 1996, diagnosis is best done, knowing first what is there,

2.3 L OHC I4, Pito LL23 4 cylinder but 8 spark plugs, yes.
3.0 L Vulcan V6
4.0 L Cologne V6

so when dead, and warm dead, check for dead spark?
check engine compression above 150psi on all cylinders
check fuel pressure when dead./

I own a Ford Escape V6 2008. Somtimes I have to turn the ignition key twice or three in order for the engine to start. I've had this problem for quite some time but now it's getting worse.

Fit a pressure gauge to the system, start the engine check the pressure , stop engine fuel pressure may drop a few pounds then hold, if it drops check fuel pump return valve and fuel pressure censer for leaks.

What is the power of engine ford aerostar 1992

The '92 Ford Aerostar wasn't exactly a monster under the hood. The entry-level engine was a 145-horsepower Vulcan V6. Buyers could upgrade to the 155-horsepower Cologne V6, which delivered 230 lb.-ft. of torque. The upside of this moderate power was impressive fuel efficiency, especially for a midsize minivan with a curb weight around 3400 pounds: the Aerostar rated at 17 mpg city, 23 mpg highway.

How to check pcm, no spark,no fuel, no injection pulse.99 ford mustang 3.8 v6

When you turn ignition key on ( not start ) does the checking light ,light ? Check fuse's for PCM , are they good ? Find a wiring diagram an check power an ground at PCM . Also hook up a scan tool an see if it will communicate with the PCM . That's how you check the PCM ! Also check the constant control relay module , these go bad an they have fuel pump relay , power hold relay , this powers up fuel injectors an ignition system !

check firing order, i think its 1342. but double check on line. i could be wrong. if you are still having problems check for fuel. it could be a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump.
