Located in the air intake tube drivers side of vehicle. In
Line with air filter housing top. Most of the time mass air flow sensors get debris inside them from an unsecured air filter housing. Sometimes they are tough to clamp housing back correctly
These are high dollar parts. The first thing I would do is look for vacuum leaks. Then I would remove the sensor and clean it with break clean, this doesn't leave a residue. the mass air flow sensor is between the air filter housing and the engine. it it a fairly large sensor. When you clean it don't use a brush on it. Just spray the inside of it both ways at the part that sticks down. I have not replaced a MAF sensor. Everytime the code comes up it is a vacuum leak or the sensor is just contaminated. But they are an electrical part and I know they can go bad. Try this first a $10.00 fix compared to $200.00
If you meant to say P100 its the mass air flow sensor. Either it needs to be cleaned (( very common if you have a K/N installed )) or the sensor is bad.
Or you have a wire or PCM issue But this the extreme.
This code means that system to lean, bank 1. some of the possible causes to make this code set are 1. intake or exhaust leak, 2. problem with the air system. 3. MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor)VAF sensor (Volume air flow sensor) 4. fuel pressure/pump 5. injector(s) 6. HO2S (Oxygen sensor)
