Well, you only ever put back in the amount you drained out. When you drained the fluid, there was still a lot in the torque converter that didn't drain out. Unless there's a drain plug on the torque converter, which is possible, it don't come out when you pull the drain plug on pan. Now, when you had the fluid drained out, right then you should have dropped the trans pan and changed the filter before anything else. Most likely that's your only problem. Drain it again, drop the pan, replace the filter and pan gasket, put it back together and only put back the amount of fluid you drained out. Check the fluid level with engine running and in park or neutral with brake on.
Your transmission fluid amount could vary. Did you also drain the torque converter? If so, you need to call the dealership to find the right type fluid to use, and the amount. It is likely going to be around 10 quarts.
possibly -but I would advise against it. Automatic transmission fluid is manufactured to suit the electronics of particular transmissions and the wrong fluid type or mixing oils may cause more problems that what it would be worth just to get the same fluid.
You need to put toyota trans fluid T4 .i have worked as tech for lexus.bmw.infiniti and other dealers.Factory tranny fluid is designed for your vehicle
newer cars dont have dip sticks.the is a filler cap there instead.most the new cars have to put on lift.level.there is drip plug on transmission has to be remove while car is on lift idling.if no drip you add tranny fluid.fast drip.you have too much fluid.if you get a slow drip your fluid level is good.place drip plug back in transmission.lower the car.
Check and see what type of fluid they put into your tranny....I think late model Nissan/Infiniti transmissions use a slightly different fluid from other cars.
