I am trying to understand your problem. Check engine mounts. Have a driver in the car, hood open. Start car, foot on brakes, shift from park to reverse and back again. Shift through all gears, look for unusual engine movements around engine mounts area. Left foot on brakes, press gas in drive and reverse;watch for excessive engine movements. Be careful as you perform these steps. You may also want to check drive axles. Keep me updated.

My car doesnt accelerate like it should it goes slow til after i hit 30ph then it picks up my car used to have get up and go its a 2000 toyota corolla ce what do i do..

Is it automatic? Maybe the car is starting off in 2nd gear? Try shifting it manually, starting in Low, and then progressively shifting to 2nd, and then to Drive. If it now accelerates normally, there could be a shift solenoid problem in the transmission. Verify that your transmission fluid level is correct. If it is, and the problem persists, have it professionally diagnosed. Not much that a DIYer can do with an automatic, unfortunately.

My 2006 corolla's yellow engine light came on and then suddenly, there was a forward jolting motion when the gear shifts from first to second and so on.. So basically, the car jolts when it shifts... I...

There is a known issue with the 2005-2007 Corolla automatic transmission shift logic. There is a technical service bulletin published (TC015-07) that will address and rectify this condition.
The diagnostic code P2716 will be stored in the computer memory. The procedure involves replacing the Engine Control Module (the computer) with an updated unit. The repair is covered, under the factory warranty, for 96 months, or 80,000 miles, which ever comes first. I hope that this helps you out. Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance; a "FixYa" rating (4 blue diamonds) would be greatly appreciated for my help in your issue. Thnaks in advance.

2005 Toyota Corolla with 36,000 miles Transmission now "jumps" into gears

hi,
when the check engine light comes on, your car goes into a mode where instead of everything being normal, things are forced, to try and compensate for something else being wrong. It most likely does need a new timing belt, and a complete tuneup INCLUDING plugs and wires. we have a 1984 toyota corolla and it purrs like ground rice, I suggest the tuneup to continue proper rice production.

1996 Corolla Auto Transmission problem

Hi. 2005 Corolla CE. It's normal. They tend to do this when upshifting form 1st to 2nd gear. No timing chain readjustment needed.

96 Corolla. Overdrive not working properly, if not engaging after 45mph constantly. If driving on the city, is normal, but not after 45mph, when the car is trying to engage overdrive in order to save gas and preserve the trans gears. If not able to get help at the dealership, find another one and explain them the situation.
