2003 Volvo s60 shaking and check enjine light on

Have your car scanned for trouble codes and repair as necessary. More than likely you have a misfire due to worn ignition components: spark plugs, wires,etc.

Reset ecu on Nissan hardbody 2006 model.stoped it at home,now wont start.maybe for second or two.Nats light not working on dash. keys still opening doors,enjin turning,does not start.enjin check light

Give this a try.....Timing is not as critical with this method...no stop watch needed. Just count in your head...one-one thousand, two-one thounsand, etc, or usestop watch. The most critical step is step #3....wait 10 sec, instead of 7.

1. Ignition "ON", count to 3.

2. Depress/Release pedal 5 times...hard and fast.

3. Count to 10 (not 7!) and fully depress pedal

4. Count to 12 (SES should be blinking), release pedal

5. Count to 10, depress pedal

6. Count to 10, release pedal.

7. What cause the enjine light to come on ?

You don't mention the make or model of the vehicle but as a rule your alternator is not charging the battery and with that problems will occur such as a flat battery and dim lights until the vehicle will not start.

does it seem to sputter or hesitate when you excellerate through a turn?

05 freestar sputtering and bogs when excellerating in rainy wet days. I get a miss firing on cylinder one reading from computer. I 've changed all 6 sparkplugs and wires. Also replaced mass air flow...

A P0301 code means that the the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #1.

Symptoms may include:
* the engine may be harder to start
* the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate
* other symptoms may also be present

Causes: A code P0301 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* Faulty spark plug or wire
* Faulty coil (pack)
* Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
* Faulty fuel injector
* Burned exhaust valve
* Faulty catalytic converter(s)
* Running out of fuel
* Poor compression
* Defective computer

Possible Solutions:
* If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
* If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Test it and send us news.
