My 1995 neon has ~105K miles, just passed emmissions with flying colors 1 week ago, and the ''check engine light'' came on. I have checked oil, coolant, brake juice, fan belt and air conditioner belt. Car runs well... but the light is still on. What are the probable cause for the light to come on and stay on? Please advise. Thanks

The light has nothing to do with oil or coolant levels. it comes on for one of the following reasons. You will need to have the system computer memory tested to see which fault the system has.

Cant get service engine soon light to stay off to get inspected.

Take your car to an autozone store and have it scanned to determine what the issues are and then have it cleared. THat should turn off the light for a time. Then drive it immediately to be inspected.

'92 GMC PU has low oil pressure

With that kind of maintenace pump and bearings should be ok,the oil pressure sending units get weak on these models I have replaced alot of these for this same condition. The check engine light reads its voltage from the sensor.

Oil light flashing, last oil change 7 wks ago

I belive they didn't reset the oil light timer. I belive the sequence is 1. key on (not acc with engine off)
2. step on the brake pedal 5 times within 10 seconds. 3. key off. 4. start car. 5. check if the light went out. you may have to try it a few times to get it.

My car is shaking and is giving off fumes and the check engine light wont go off, what could it be?

1.Check oil level.
2. check oil level
Neon's are bad for having a head oil leak in the first 40,000 to 80,000 miles. Most repair shops wont even tell you if you do have one because they dont want to get invloved, Not enough profit in heavy eng. work

2002 AUDI A4 OIL LIGHT COMES ON AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.

The code system too lean, is caused by the bank 1 02 sensor, as far as the oil light coming on with oil ok,I would say the oil sending unit. Have those checked or replaced. Without testing this and that, it's hard to say what's causing it.
