The problem of my speedometer started a month ago. it is intermittent, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work. but two weeks ago it is totally dead it is not responding at all. i disconnected the battery terminal, checked all connections on the alternator and re-torqued all the bolts but nothing happens. please, i need your help to fix this issue. thank you!!!

NOTORIOUS// replace the ignition switch and you'll be fine. switch is still live when you take your key out. there's a short from the switch to the battery.

Check the acidity with a hydrometer and as per the battery technicians recommendations do accordingly if you agree with his reasoning...sodeep

Put an ammeter between battery terminal and main earth lead see how much current is being drawn through it. Should only be clock, alarm etc. If higher take the fuses out one after another till you dont have a lot of current going though it and thats the faulty circuit.
