Hey, my mate had a problem like that, with the airbag light beeing on, just in a Mini, he went to a garage and they told him the sensor in the passenger seat was broken, and the entire seat needed to be changed, costing around 2.250$. He searched a little around and found an airbag emulator, that gets your system to think someone is always seated. In case of an accident the airbag will ALWAYS go off, on both driver and passenger seat. He found it on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main/ref=olp_merch_name_1?ie=UTF8&asin=B00E3C1IPW&isAmazonFulfilled=0&seller=A3VPDTQ49IXC7U - it is a quick fix, but a solid one.

SOURCE: Why does my airbag light stay on all the time.

Sounds to me like one of the air bag sensors may have tripped, causing the airbag computer to think the vehicle has been wrecked. Take the vehicle to a dealership and have them reset the air bag sensors to get rid of the light.

SOURCE: hello i have a 2004

Your solution is a little hard to find too bad they told you to change the alternator. It is a simple fuse you need to change that is blown. on the expetion sometimes there are two one in the fuse box and one under a black cover follow the alternator small wires it should point to the direction of the small i believe 7.5 amp fuse. it was hard to find and i do this for a living. good searching.

It's your Electronic Stability System. It may be malfunctioning because of the cold temperature or triggered by another malfunctioning system. You need to take it in for a diagnostic investigation.

AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON PROBLEM

Hi.

The airbag light means that a problem with the airbag has been detected and that there is an error code stored in the airbag control module. The code will tell you what is wrong with the airbag. The code can be read at the nearest Lexus dealer, you will be charged a fee of $80.

Sometimes the light can be reset by disconnecting battery for ten minutes. Disconnecting battery will also delete the error codes stored. If the light comes back when you connect back the battery, that means that the problem is still there, and that the airbag control module detected the problem immediately.

Regards.

Air bag light is blinking

Guys! Are you readying your airbag system after messing around with your truck?

I've seen airbag lights come on for man reasons, faulty sensors, connections, replacing RADIOS! Removing seats!! All sorts of reasons. Personally I bought my QX56 with the airbag light blinking. Drove me crazy for 24 hours till I decided to reset it n see what happened. It takes two minutes to do. No tools.

1. Turn key from off to on. (on meaning all your dash lights are on but your not cranking the motor)

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

Airbag light - I cleaned the carpet in my 2001 caravan (by removing it to pressure wash it). To do this I took the seats (w/airbags)out disconnecting the terminals under the seats. I didn't disconnect the...

By turning the key on with the seats removed you have put a code into the airbag module.
A good scan tool CAN RESET the airbag module in your vehicle back to factory settings..

Where is the Alternator located in a 1997 Lexus LS 400

If the car ran and got you home after a jump start I doubt the alternator is bad. Check your battery. And remember never ever disconnect the battery cable with the engine running.
