SOURCE: 2000 gmc jimmi shift solenoid a stuck on reverse not work

No reverse is a dead giveaway of a failed transmission. You must remove it and replace it or rebuild it. P0752 code will not cause the loss of reverse gear.

I have a G30 chevy van, out of the blue it decided not to shift out of 1st gear, trans fluid is clean and full, what could be the problem ?

There could be a number of possible reasons why your G30 Chevy van is not shifting out of 1st gear. Some potential causes could include:
  1. Faulty shift solenoids: The shift solenoids are responsible for controlling the flow of transmission fluid through the valve body, which in turn affects the shifting of gears. If the solenoids are not functioning properly, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  2. Low transmission fluid pressure: If the fluid pressure in the transmission is too low, it can prevent the gears from shifting properly.
  3. Faulty transmission control module: The transmission control module (TCM) is responsible for controlling the shifting of gears in an automatic transmission. If the TCM is faulty or has malfunctioned, it can cause the transmission to get stuck in 1st gear.
  4. Internal transmission issues: There could be internal issues within the transmission itself that are preventing it from shifting out of 1st gear. This could include worn gears or clutches, or other mechanical issues.
It is recommended to take your van to a qualified mechanic or transmission specialist to diagnose the issue and perform any necessary repairs.

1996 plymouth breeze transmission wont go into 2nd Gear

Have you check fluid level ? Is your check engine light on ? You have a bad shift solenoid inside the transmission ,more then likely . Have codes checked ,you mite have P0700 + code

"Code P0752 shift solenoid A circuit stuck on" came up on the computer. How do we locate the solenoid so we can repair it? Is there a Site to help help guide us through the repair?

Year make and model would be helpful. Could be the solenoid, or the internal harness. Could be the valve body also. Some cars you can pull the pan and access it, some have to have the solenoid package replaced, some you have to pull the transmission and tear it down to fix.

    How to fixcode755 solenoid B

755 (why drop the prefix?????) makes his 10x harder.

the FSM covers this , buy one or look online at alldata.com

    P0755

the P0 COUNTS ! p means power-train, the 0 means federal std. code.

    lets to TCM 101:

    the TCM shifts this tranny,.

the TCM sends 12vdc to the solenoid to do SHIFTS.

the TCM checks the voltage at time of this command.

the voltage reads wrong, the TCM is not HAL2000, its just brick stupid

it only knows the test it did fail, and NEVER why

enter the technician and his FSM book and the steps to find it

the TCM can see solenoid faults 2 ways (at least)

voltage read back at the solenoid (the fsm is clear on this ,read it)

or RPM drop fail. VSS fails to drop or rise pre shift command.

each time the TCM shifts this tranny it looks at the TAIL RPM

    and if wrong sets codes.

the FSM actual explains this. best.

    now see actual FSM

Actual gear ratio and the Required gear ratio did not match during the CCM Rationality test.

see , unlike my first link (bad net bs)

    the TCM does RATIONALITY tests.

that means it shifts and then looks at tail shaft RPM (VSS)

and sees rpm wrong. (tables of valid rpm in TCM)

at an up shift the RPM drop is checked. carefully. by the TCM.

    and possible list. quite different.

    • * A/T component problems (i.e., in clutch, brake or gears)

    • * SSB is damaged, stuck "open" or stuck "closed"

    • * Transmission valve body is clogged, dirty or stuck

    in barstool lingo.

tranny slips in any gear. related to B solenoid.

by valve body, that includes the actual valve B sticking or dirty or clogged.

make sure the transmission ground strap is no missing or bad.

this IS MY FIRST CHECK on all A/T cars...

the transmission must be 100% perfectly grounded at all times.

or it WILL fail. (TCM fails()

My 04 Yukon is not shifting properly out of first gear. Check engine light is on and the code that came up is P0752. Stated that a shift solenoid is stuck. What is a shift solenoid.

A shift solenoid is just that an electric solenoids that opens and closes hydraulic fluid passages that shift the transmission, If you have never had the fluid and filter replaced in the truck do so, dirt may be the cause here and often a fluid change and driving it awhile fixes the problem,
