SOURCE: 96 audi a4 heater blows cold air

you have air in the system!! you have to unbolt the filler tank and lift it 5 inch higer first. then loose the right hose on the heater core( this hose have and hole to bleed the system) and then put antifreeze until the antifreeze will go out of the hole then re install the hose to the heater core, then ajust the level correcty

SOURCE: where is the control valve that controls the flow

on modern VW (group)product, they do not have a valve any more.they use a flap inside the heater box to control the flow of air instead.

SOURCE: Where is the Audi A4 1.8T (2001) "Heater core"

It's inside the dash and requires the removal of the entire dash and framework, center stack and tunnel, kickpanels, etc. Not fun or easy at all.

No heat in audi A4 1.8 water gets hot and circulates

Are both heater hoses hot when the heater is on? Look for the water control valve to see if it's letting water into the heater core. The core could be plugged too.

Only warm air in def no heat elsewhere

check the mechanism that controls the heat flow .The flap may not be opening fully thereby ,impeding the full flow of heat into the cabin. .

The heater on my A6 1.8 petrol doesnt get warm just constantly blowing cold air,I've bled the cooling system recently had a new water pump and thermostat fitted and still no heat. the heater control unit...

There is a heater core valve on vehicles that have a dual zone, ( climate control ) systems. The valve is in the area of the heater core.

Something to try. allow the engine to run for 6 to 8 minutes with the heater wide open, then, turn the engine off and reach back and feel the 2 hoses at the firewall that lead to the heater core. If only 1 is hot you do have some blockage, if both are hot then it is circulating properly and your problem lies somewhere else.

Dual zone systems also have a split door between the heater core and a/c evaporator that often stops functioning properly and it can block the hot air comming from the core.

I get no heat from my audi A6 1997 car my blower works ,I changed thermostat and radiator still not working.

I had no heat after replacing the water pump on my 96 Audi A6 quattro. After reading the last post, I found a bleeder on one of the hoses going to the heater core. I just turned it and it allowed the air to escape. Then I had heat.

Audi A6 1996 heating not works

the heater cores in these cars get clogged very easily and it is very common to see these symptoms. pull both the heater core hoses off of the heater core, and backflush it with your garden hose. flush one way, then the other, untill you see clear water coming out. then re attach the hoses, re fill your coolant reservoir, and see if that helps.

1997 audi A4 heater blowing cold air

You will have to change the heater core. 9 out of 10 times, when the heater is not heating the air, it is a bad heater core.
