Find the loose tappet cover and replace the gasket. Check that the PCV valve is working and relieving the sump pressure.

SOURCE: Oil leak from top side of oil filter

Make sure you oil the rubber seal on the oil filter and tighten the oil filter 3/4 of a turn more after the seal is flush with the bracket.

SOURCE: oil leak on right side under top engine cover

your valve cover gasket may have blown. This can happen if you overfill above the required dipstick level. take off the valve cover and check the gasket. Better to be under the level than over. The oil preassure will try to blow from where ever there is a weak gasket.

SOURCE: oil leak

Could be the cam seal. It is the only thing keeping oil in the motor between the head and calve cover. Usually they will stick to the cam on a cold morning and spinout of place and allow the oil to pass onto the side of the engine.

SOURCE: my 1992 isuzu trooper is leaking oil

clean your engine and look very carefully where the oil leak really come from, the cause why this leak happen, the engine was shutdown while the engine temperature is hot. usually the leak will come from the turbo. the engine must be idle for 3-5min before shutting off.

SOURCE: oil leak on top front of 2002 f350 super duty diesel engine

if it's a diesiel the it's coming from your oil line to your turbo. if it is gas then it could be a leak coming from a leaking valve cover gasket.

Keeps running out of oil

Put the car on a hoist and look for an oil leak. Here are the common places to find a leak. 1) Valve cover gasket, can leak down on the backside of the engine. You should find the back of the engine wet with oil all the way up. 2) Leaking drain plug or oil filter. 3) Leaking oil pressure switch. 4) Leaking front or rear main seal around the crankshaft.
If the motor and underneath is dry and has no oil present, check the inside of the tailpipe. You may have a broken oil ring on one of the cylinders, or bad valve stem seals inside the top of the cylinder head. Be blessed.

Leaking at the oil filter

Check to see if there are two gaskets. if the rubber gasket from the old filter is stuck on from the change then you have 2 gaskets on top of each other. being rubber when oil starts flowing they won't maintain rigidity because the one stuck on from before won't have the metal lip of the filter holding it

What is wrong with my 2004 chevolet malibu, its leaking oil tremendously

If this has the v6, it's probably the intake manifold gaskets. This is a super common problem with these. You end getting oil in the cooling system and anti-freeze in the oil, they also leak externally when this happens. I would get it looked at/repaired asap or severe engine damage will result. I've had to replace quite a few over the years.

How to change oil sensor for chevy cavilier 2000 2.2

My Dad and I changed mine and this is what we did. We supported the motor with a chain from a hoist. Released the bottom motor mount and the top motor mount and leaned the motor forward. Once we did this we could reach the oil sensor on the top back of the oil pan. Mine was leaking. After we changed it we tilted the motor back in place and tightened it down. Took about an hour. Was the easiest solution we could come up with. Couldn't get to it underneath the car.
