1998 Outback SUW Auto 2.5 Accelerate, relay clicking sound

1998 Outback SUW Auto 2.5 Accelerate, relay type clicking around left side of dash/instrument near fuse panel. Clicking varies, and usually a power loss or engine miss that the feels like the power drop when the A/C compressor turns off/on though the A/C compressor is not turning off/on, but this is how it feels. Maybe fuel pump relay, but can put my fingers on that relay (green connector) and I do not physically feel any clicking. What is ignition relay? I cannot find it though the Hanyes Repair manual shows next to fuel pump relay with brown connector.

Currently, I have the same type of problem with my98 legacy outback limited w automatic. The clicking on mine is definitely the fuel pump relay which is to the left of the pedals under the driver side dash panels. It is above the fuse box and I had to remove the fuse box to get my hand up there to feel what was clicking. My problem is more prevalent when the car is cold. Things that have been diagnosed and replaced are: fuel pump, fuel pump relay (heavy duty), ignition relay(heavy duty), ECU, TCU, alternator, ignition coil, and fuel filter. I've had my car in the shop a few times and my mechanic is stumped. He's had it hooked up to the computer and checked all of the circuits that can affect that relay. It's very hard to diagnose because it is so intermittent. The only thing that ever changed the problem was a used ignition control module(possibly a bad one) which made it click a lot more. I am going to see if Subaru can test the ignition control module because they, many times, do not give you any codes and they do very weird things to the way cars run. I hope one of us finds the answer to this problem.

Right turn signal doesnt work.

Turn signal "flasher" relay has gone bad most likely. Turn on the left turn signal (the one that works) and trace the click click sound by ear until you find the flasher relay, most likely under the dash on the driver side. When you think you've found it, put your finger on it and you will FEEL it clicking. Turn off your turn signal and pull the relay straight out. Go to the auto parts store and get a new relay and reinstall in the same spot you pulled the old one from.

Looking for fuse box on 1998 ford windstar

Fuse panel is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. There is also a fuse panel located on the left side of the engine compartment. Fuses #25 and #27 on the interior fuse panel are both associated with the turn signals.
I hope this helps you!

Where is the fuel pump relay on a 1998 Legacy Outback AWD wagon?

The fuel pump relay is located under the dash on the drivers side. If I remember correctly there are 3 relays next to each other and the fuel pump relay is the middle one.

O/d doesn't engage, disengage light on all time

If the light is on you have power to the system. Remove the access panel to the Fuse / Relay panel by removing the ashtray then feel the O/D relay (usualy white) as you click the O/D button. If no click change the relay. If problem still occurs, change the O/D Solenoid on the left side of the transmission (2 bolts, 1 wire, 20 minutes). Be sure you THOROUGHLY clean the area around the solenoid before beginning work. Also, spray area with carb cleaner or brake spray prior to reassembly.
