2003 PT. Just had battery replaced. Now fog lights stay on all time. Have to pull fuse to turn off. Fog lights worked fine before replacing battery. Any connection or just coincedence?
Sounds like your multifunction switch (i.e. the stalk that has the fog light switch) has burned out. This is a fairly common problem and the multifunction switch needs to be replaced.
The part (as I recall) costs < $100 (about 80, I think) and takes less than half an hour to replace.

First check to make sure all the harness plugs on the PCM are pushed in and tight. It happened to me.
Then check your grounds.
And you need to get that multi switch replaced to fix that fog light problem. Just remember to take the relay off of the old one and replace it on the new one.
Fog lights are connected to pin 13,14. Fog light switch is "B". Because the current is many Amps, contact surfaces are heating up. After that the contact opening "C" is melting (made of plastic) so the fog light stays "ON".

I just fixed this problem on my wife's PT. It was the switch on the column. Her car has the fog light switch as part of the head light / turn signal switch. The lights stayed on after turning off the ignition and the lights. You will most likely have to replace the switch. Unless you are lucky and a skilled mechanic / electrician you may be able to open up and fix the switch like I just did.
1st most newer car cars have a timer delay that helps light the area you are in for a couple of seconds. You may have had the knob turned all the way up on the turn signal switch. The same thing will happened if this switch is turned all the way up, the interrior light will stay on. Turn the lights on with the switch and see if the fog lights come on, do this without the car running.Trun the lights off,see if the fog lights stay on then go out after a while.if so you have a delay on the fog lights or relay. You may need to replace the relay only. Part $ 15 trace fog light wiring to relay usually under hood away from water sources.......runjoe
Thanks for the help.
