How, too open boot on a E300 Mercedes 1998

If you can access the boot through the back seat, there may be an emergency release in the trunk. My 1995 doesn't, but my 2004 does, not sure when this went in. If no emergency release, access to the latch is still there for somebody to work with, but that's if you can get in.
If the key doesn't work, you're looking at surgery if you can't get in from backseat.

There is another release in the right rear passenger side of the trunk. A little WD-40 on the latch will help.

1998 volvo s70. Gearshift has been sticking - must pull down lock to get it fully into "park". Problem today is that alarm sounds when you open the door or turn the key in the ignition. ...

There is a cable that connects your gearshift to the ignition switch, when this cable stretches, it does not allow the gearshift assembly to move when you have the key turned. Removed the assembly around the gear shift assembly and inspect this cable. Removed the cable and manually actuate the lever. See if this fixes the problem as it is common in the S70/C70/V70s that are pre 2000

Locked trunk

For some stupid reason Chrysler put a switch in the trunk that if tripped prevents it from being opened. You'll need to get into the trunk through the back seat. On the latch there is a small white switch. You need to move it to the unlock position. If you can find emergency release in the trunk that will open it and you can find the switch from the outside.
