Hello,
If you want to turn your check engine light of temporarily you can disconnect the battery for approx. ten minutes. Unfortunately you'll have to reset clocks and radio settings once you reconnect. However if your vehicle has a malfunction that will set the check engine light on it will most likely be back on pretty soon. Good luck.
Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.
Check
engine light comes on and off, these are indication that there is some
error code stored in your vehicles ECM. The engine module computer
needs to be scanned. These will give the code and as per the error code the
further problem can be detected and confirmed. The engine light
indicator blinks or remains steady on dash when engine computer
noticed any problem with any engine electrically operated components.
