1999 saab 9-5 check engine light is on

Check engine light came on a few days ago, what do I need to do? The car otherwise runs fine, I was out of town when it happened and have put about 400 miles on it since.

My saab 9 5 1.9D engine light on .. water in fuelcode but not having any problems with it..HAd it into Saab norway several times and they gave in without being able to fix it.. saab sweden have had it...

Take it back to Saab shop, have the put it on the lift and loosen the fuel tank drain plug a crack. Water will always lay on the bottom and it can be drained off from the plug on bottom. Otherwise, you have to have a syphon unit in system originally that pulls the water off the bottom. The latter is most likely. Just resetting the light out isn't removing the water. Makes sense Huh? Thing is, someone just isn't doing their job at Saab.

1999 saab 95 speedometer not working, abs and check engin light comes on

You will need to have your car's ECM (Computer) read by a OBD II scanner to determine what Trouble Code your ECM is giving so a mechanic can properly diagnose the problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can pull the codes out of your ECM for no charge.

My 2002 saab 9-5 shakes and sputters for about

Water on any electrical part of the engine can cause problems. Even high humidity. The only parts you can easily check and dry out is the plug wires where they connect to the coils and any connections you can find where components are plugged into wiring a harness.

Engine stopped running while driving.

Had same problem last week, just fixed by local Saab Centre. They replace the CKP Sensor and problem gone.

My 2003 Saab 9-3 drives sluggish.

Take your car to the dealer, local garage, auto parts store and get them to pull the code which should tell you exactly what the problem is. I would also check the transmission again and make sure it isn't leaking and is at the correct level. If the problem was low transmission fluid you still need to have the code "cleared" before the car will return to normal. Hope this helps.

Saab 1999 9 3. Engine Stops

If you have an automatic transmission and notice that the engine bogs down as you slow, the tranny may need adjustment as it sounds like it isn't releasing as it should as you stop.
