Most headrests have a spring clip as the safety latch. If there is no visible push button there will be a hidden release latch. Carefully examine both plastic caps the headrest posts sit in. Look for a pin hole. If there is no pin hole the caps are 'push on' covers. They should lever off and reveal either a push button or a pin hole.
With the pin hole, insert an unfolded paper clip to release the locking spring.
Where they slide in at the top of the seat there should be a release button on each side. Press and pull at the same time and they should pull out. Then just push them back in
loosen up the cover to the seat and reach into the actual seat from underneath, there should be 2 latches. The closest one at the bottom of the headrest system locks the headrest at the upmost position. If you lift up that latch (as in pull it away from the headrest) the headrest should be easy to just push the rest of the way...
on the top of the seat where the headrest goes in there should be plastic pieces. on those plastic pieces there should be a little button you can push in while pulling up on the head rest.
Pull the seat fabric down in front to expose the plastic piece that the headrest bar inserts through. You will see a small wire clip inserted through plastic. Remove it by prying with small flat head screwdriver. Repeat on other side. Headrest will then slide out.
hi normally you can do this by...pulling the headrest top its maximum height , at the bottom you should see two black plastic rings, on either side of these rings are little partitions push these inward and pull the headrest at the same it can be a bit awkward but if you do one side at a time or get someone to pull the headrest while you push the clips in can be very helpfull...hope this helps please vote thanks
Im doing the same thing.. Push the headrest full forward, then lift hard to get past last indent in pole.. This worked for the front as well.. i also could not find a hole to push
