2002 kia spectra brake light is constantly on, now it starts but just dies right away won't stay on

Have the charging system tested. Possible alternator starting to get bad

check break pedal switch and then break switch relay

check your battery sometimes it will have enough for lights put not kick in starter then check alternator take to auto zone when running the will test free

check the brake light switch on the pedal, center light is not on the same circuit

bad alternator. happened to me in a big puddle. go to the parts store and they'll test it for free. you're running the car off of the battery. you will kill the battery if you keep going. the alternator is a pain to get out/in because there are several things in the way that must be moved. $100-$150 for the part, 1-3 hours to do it. have the battery tested after you're done. good luck!

sounds like you have 2 problem one ins tranmission going bad and alternater ck transmission fluid level while running make sure its rt quick way to ck alt is to hook jumpper cables to to another car and make sure it stays running and also ck make sure belts and in place and tight disconnect cable see if it dies

Sounds like a timing belt broke.

check with consumer reports. there was a recall on certain year, yet can't recall which one at the moment. hope this helps.

brake pad warning light pads need changed
