Engine ECU is located in the engine bay, on the driver side(RHD). Body electrical has no ECU (earlier models). Citroen Berlingo uses what is called 'Multifunction Control Modules'. It has 2 of them. One is located in the steering column switch assembly and the other is incorporated inside/underneath the fuse/relay frame in the engine bay. If your Xantia is late model, it may adopt the Berlingo system but I have not seen one that does.

SOURCE: XUD head on a HDI

I am sorry but we have no way to cross reference that information, contact the MB dealer parts dept to verify, but off the top of my head i would say no, the Germans would not make it that easy.

Find HDi Engine codes

If you mean the vin #, yes, probably. Vin #'s do show the engine code, but you might want to visit a peugeot forum to find it.

R reg Range Rover, There is a delayed response when accelerating from a standing start, then after a couple of seconds and a buried accelerator pedal it flies. Also, tick over seems very high. Any ideas on...

I would change your throttle position sensor (TPS) or at least check all related wiring, fuses and relays concerning this device. It is located on the outside of the throttle body at the end of the throttle plate shaft. Its function is to send a an electrical signal to the ECU that correspnds to the position of the throttle plate. Your TPS is not sending a signal to the ECU so the ECU does not know to inject more fuel in response to the throttle being opened. The call for more fuel in the absence of immediate input from the TPS is being made to the ECU by the Manifold air pressure sensor but this can a take a second or two to respond to pressure changes, hence the hesitation in acceleration. One really quick way to check is to simply disconnect the TPS electrical connector. If it were running normally you will notice an immediate change in engine idle, as your is faulty you will notice no difference

2.0 litre hdi

you shouldnt have to reprogram the ecu but it wont hurt to reset it. To reset the computer take the positive cable from the car off the battery and give it 3-5min to discharge then touch the positive cable from the car to the negative cable (still attached to the battery) for about 5 seconds and then hook back up the positive post and that will reset the computer. not sure how much difference it will make but like i said it wont hurn anything.
