SOURCE: where is the anit-knock sensor on a 1996 4 cyl toyota camry

Should be on the side of the block facing the firewall. It may or may not be contacting coolant so you may have to drain the radiator.
Keep in mind knock sensors almost never fail. You may have an engine component making a noise or vibration the sensor is picking up.
The sensor is supposed to sense spark knock and tell the computer to adjust the spark timing down.

94 camry 4 cyl. 4 door knock sensor malfuction, code 52. Where is the knock sensor located?

It screws into side of engine block somewhere and has one wire to it. Buy the part at parts store and ask them to show you location chart.

Knock sensor diagram

On the 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine it is located on the siie of the engine block (the side nearest the firewall).

On the 3.0 Liter V-6 engine there are 2 knock sensors and the are located in the "valley" below the intake manifold. You'll have to remove the intake manifold to get to them.

Understanding trouble codes for my vehicles

first the quest, this is common for nissan, replace the knock sensor, this sensor is located under the intake manifold rear of engine, some models you can sneak sensor out without removing the intake, this will take care of that car. now the camry, im guessing this is a 4 cylinder engine, replace the air fuel sensor (oxygen sensor) thats on the exhaust manifold. this will solve that problem. hope this helped.

Location of knock sensor on 1994 toyota 22vre engine

The Knock sensor on a 22re is located under the intake manifold on the engine block. to the upper left of the oil filter. With is the passenger side of the engine. I believe it is yellow in color. Not do be confused with the oil pressure sensor which is close by. The knock sensor has a larger electrical connector. Good luck it can be hard to get to.

2005 Toyota Camry - knock sensor

Your sensor went off because it overknocked.
Try using a different type of fuel with a higher octane.
Erase the code and use the better gas. if it comes back then we will worry about replacing it.
