P0337 Code 2001 Deawoo Lanos

How do you check the camshaft position sensor on a 2001 Deawoo Lanos? I have one that seems to run just fine but, has the check engine light coming on with the code of P0337 Camshaft position sensor circuit low input.

Vehicle does have cam sensor. Scan read out was "Camshaft position sensor A - Bank 1 Circuit Low Input" Thanks for responding.

Toyota corolla 2001 making noise as it reaches running temp.

engine is misfiring because of CMP sensor . Following can be possible causes :

- Faulty Intake Camshaft Position sensor
- Faulty Camshaft Position Solenoid Valve
- Engine mechanical condition - Valve timing off
- Intake Camshaft Position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Intake Camshaft Position sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Hi the A16DM Lanos engine has hydraulic valve lifters , the clearances are thus automatically adjusted , make sure the lifters are bled and primed before installation , inspect the camshaft for wear as wear in this area would result in tappet noise .

I have a p1361 problem with car dying and stalling and also a 1456 code any guesses light went off and car runs ok now

P1361 Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor A (Top Dead Center (TDC)
Possible causes:
- Camshaft position sensor. Replace.
- Signal wire open or shorted to ground.
- ECM.

Where is the crankshaft sensor location on lanos 2001 ? I changed my camshaft position sensor and the timing belt, but the engine light still on with the same code and the mechanic said it's the...

both the single cam and twin cam engines use the teeth on the crank pulley for crankshaft sensor which is bolted in bracket attached to block near oil pressure switch, hopefully you didnt dent(bent) teeth on crank pulley from dropping it or putting pulley down a bit roughly because they bend really eazy.
also is the crank pulley bolted up in correct position?
is the timming belt tension correct from when you did cam belt?
if tension wrong or timming out by a tooth it will set crank sensor codes, even possibly cam sensor codes and if you get timming out more than 3 teeth either way(advanced or ********) you will bend valves.
