You changed the fluid on an already slipping

I owned a trans repair shop in the early 1990's
& 50% of my work was caravans & taurus ,so that
tells you their not a good unit at all, only the ford
windstar & it's replacement were as bad or worse

I am working on an 02 impala 3.4. At 1st it would drive for about 20 minutes then the traction control light would come on and it would feel like the trans was slipping and the hotter the engine got the...

Hi Mike, Seems to me you have an electronic management problem. The fire must have caused short circuits and has maybe damaged the on board computer. Sort out the short circuits first and then carry out another scan and see what comes up. The traction control is incorporated as part of the ABS system, using many of the same sensors for operation. The problems you relate can have been caused by incorrect signals from the management system. regards John

2001 s10 crew cab the trans slips the code is

When a transmission slips & you continue to use it,
you burn the clutches & it has to come out & be rebuilt

The PO758 is Solenoid B inside the trans pan

If that trans is original from 2001, don't waste your time
with the solenoid, rebuild it,once they slip your done,
unless the vehicle is only a couple years old & you
come home immediately when you notice slipping
& get to work on solenoids

Transmission slips once in a while and O/D light comes on after acceleration

Can't fix slipping

Once that starts your only option
is a complete rebuild

My advice is to change the fluid every 3 years
& don't flush,just remove the trans pan

Second --once you notice any trans issues you
immediately return home & park it until resolved

90% of all trans issues are a result of not doing that

I once owned a trans shop, but that is my personal
experience & opinion,the professional part , doesn't
hurt the learning experience

My audi a6 4.2 transmission slips bad when car heats up what causes this?

At this point you need a complete rebuild
Once the slipping starts the clutches are burnt

After the trans is broken down then you may be
told what caused the problem but I doubt it

If you don't change the trans & power steering fluids
every 3 years you loose the trans & the steering rack
will be next & then all your other vehicles the same

Same for brake fluid--every 2 years or big dollars
for ABS Unit

Trans slipping in to 2nd... possible linkage assembly?

I'm sorry ---but any transmission that is slipping usually
has been doing so longer than you recognized it

The only fix is a complete rebuild when the slip

Slipping is from not changing the fluid every 3 years or
30,000 miles. It breaks down from the heat & so goes
your clutches & the slipping begins. Not a secret,it is
pretty well know fact of the last 55 years or so

One fluid change in 120,000 miles & your near the end
of a trans life expectancy, some keep going, not many

On the yearly side, you can go 3 years or 18 years,
seldom without fresh fluid & very gentle driving habits

I believe yours is electronic & no cable to adjust
You can look next to the throttle but you'll never get
that spot that will stop slipping

Change the fluid now & it will slip for sure

No additives ever go into a trans, just the correct fluid

P1320 trouble code plus

The P1320 code is essentially a coil primary voltage problem. This is traceable using a labscope or accurate DVOM and perhaps you can isolate one or two coils that still work but are close to failure...but there is a nissan service message recommending replacement of ALL coils with updated/improved models to prevent this type of failure. TCS/SLIP is traction control. Most likely you have a speed sensor issue. Be aware, some vehicles can falsely illuminate TCS because of low tire pressure in a single wheel.
