Try disconnecting the brake line to the rear pass side wheel cylinder the brake lines might be clogged or the cylinders are going bad

Testimonial: "Thanx! I changed both rear shoes and new springs. Also needed a new wheel cylinder and break line. Both rear brakes were very corroded. But.. my brake light is still on and the brakes don't feel as tight as i think they should. Any ideas about that??"

1999 Chevy Tracker 3 of 4 Wheels locked up

. This could be due to a malfunctioning locking hub control system, which is responsible for engaging the front wheels . Another possibility is that the front axle actuator is faulty . The rear breaks may have seized, another possibility, after the break was on so long.. Regarding grinding, It's possible that the transfer case has been damaged due to lack of use or that there is a problem with one of the gears inside.About the power issue, there could be an issue with the drivetrain. It's possible that one of the axles has become disconnected or that there is a problem with one of the differentials. You mentioned that both driver side and passenger rear wheels are stuck, which could indicate a problem with one of these components. I recommend taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for diagnosis.

Rear passenger tire on ford ranger locks up when moving forward

Pull the brake drum off to see what's binding-brakes won't retract, emergency brake is stuck, a brake shoe return spring may be broken. Raise the rear and take both drums off to compare left and right side brakes and all the parts therein.

My rear brake hub is stuck on my 2000chevy 1ton dully

You may need another vehicle to help pull the truck in reverse. Going backwards is the best way to break the drum loose. Also, make sure the emergency brake isn't stuck or engaged. Hopefully none of the springs inside have broken allowing the shoes to remain engaged on the drum.

Back brakes lock up

There are several conditions that can cause this to happen. You want to start out by checking the parking brake assembly, particularly the cable for the right rear or passenger side brake. Make certain the cable moves freely when the park brake is applied and released completely when the park brake is disengaged.
Next, remove the rear brake drum and check for any oil, grease or brake fluid contamination of the brake shoes. Any contamination of this type will cause the brake to hang up when applied.
If that checks good, make sure the brake system hardware if working properly and components have not dislodged from there installed position be sure there are no broken return springs or very rusted and weak components.
Generally what happens is a wheel cylinder begins to leak, contaminated the shoes and cause them to become sticky when the shoe contacts the drum or a return spring breaks or comes off for various reasons.
Check it out and let me know.

Passenger side rear brake locked up.

It's probably the emergency brake cable that is stuck. Check that first. When I get a drum brake that is totally frozen up (like been sitting for 40 yrs) I often use 2 or 3 pry bars, WD40 and short handle sledge hammer to pry a little on both sides, liberally keep penetrating oil squirted on the shoes and tap on all sides. Eventually drum will come off, but sometimes it takes like maybe 1/2 hour. Shoes will have to be replaced, but they are probably shot anyway. The drums for the caravans are cheap, so I would not only get them, but the spring kit from the parts house as well.
