Door hinges are noisy?

I have a Denali 2004 with 75000 miles on the clock. Now when driving at slow speed on an un even surface there is a clicking sound from the drivers side door Or so it seems. While parked and on the open door, if I push it axialy upwards I do hear almost similar sound, when the pressure is eased. I wonder if it is the worn hinge pins( the hinges are welded)or the upper ball joint in the steering geometry, if there is one. Kindly advice.

    Thank you sir.

I sprayed lithium grease on the hinges and the sound is gone.

Sounds to me like the hinge pins are worn out. These could probably be driven out with a drift and replaced with new.

Sorry got to hear it to advise, dont think noise is related ,i think one is a drive coupling and the noise is the two small nuts that hold the door restraint bar.Tighten the two small nuts on the door first

How do I know that my problem is my front differential? My Yukon Denali with 270,000 miles is making a grinding noise and will not accelerate when i start moving. After I gain speed it seems fine?

the fact that on attaining speed the problem resolves itself indicates that it is not a diff problem
problem diffs will be noisy under acceleration, deceleration and at sustained speeds
it indicates something under load like failed cv joints, drive shaft "U" joints or wheel bearings
If you have not replaced the cv joints in that mileage , then that is the area I would be concentrating on first

CAN YOU DRIVE F150 WITH A BLOWN SPARKPLUG 10 MILES TO MACHANIC WITHOUT BREAKING SOMETHING ?

It will be noisy and if you remove the plug lead there should not be a problem. The piston goes down and sucks in unfiltered air and comes back up and blows it back out . Drive it at a slow to moderate speed and it should be alright.

Vacuum diagram for a 2002 jeep liberty 3.7

it is not broken it is operator error
Part time 4wd is only for off road or on ICE
never for pavement or it will wind up and bind up.
never good that.

I will nor read the uses guide(glovebox) to you.
the car came as part time only ,like my 08 wrangler
or has select track that has both, do not use part time there either.

the 4 FULL TIME mode allows the front and rear wheels to rotate at different speeds which eliminates driveline binding and component wear that is normally associated with driving the vehicle in the 4 PART TIME position on dry hard surfaced roads. This feature provides the safety, security, and convenience of operating in 4-wheel drive at alltimes regardless of road conditions. When additional traction is required the 4 PART TIMEand 4LO positions can be used to lock the front and reardriveshafts together through the transfer case inter-axledifferential and force the front and rear driveshafts torotate at the same speed. This is accomplished by simplymoving the shift lever to these positions. The 4 PARTTIME and 4LO positions are intended for loose, slipperyroad surfaces only. Driving in the 4 PART TIME and 4LOpositions on dry hard surfaced roads may cause in-creased tire wear and damage to driveline component

the cure is easy now
put at least 1 tire offroad or on ice.
then dead slow crawl in partime 4wd slow and shift to Neutral or 2w or FULL TIME.
as the case may be, get out of part time 4L or 4H
as you crawl on say slipper dirt the drive line un winds and un binds
and the selector un jams.

Have 2001 CR-V w/126000 miles. clock has been

Grating sound: Coat liberally with WD-40 or equivalent, or any "spray grease".

Clock: Is it in the dash or part of the radio (there were multiple clocks in the CR-V). If it is the little dash clock, you may have a hard time finding an exact replacement except though your honda dealer, costing considerable $$$
