Pacifica fold down seat option

I have a 2006 Pacifica and there are 2 latches you can pull on on the back seats but when you pull on them nothing happens. I thought I would be able to fold the back seats up but I am not sure now and my manual says nothing about it because I do not have 3rd row seating. Please tell me what these are for and if i am able to fold my back seats up for more possible storage

You should be able to fold the seat down. Often, when they have not moved for an extended period of time, the latch will stick. Try leaning against the seat, while pulling the latch. Often this will release enough pressure to allow you to pull it free.

SOURCE: Both of my back split

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. If you haven't already, try spraying some WD40 on the latches. Wait a few minutes and see if they come loose. The switch may be broke, if so, they will need replaced. It is unlikely that both of them are broke though. Dirt and whatever else may be inside the lever. Use a fair amount of WD40 and it should work.

Rear seat on my Note won't fold down. When I pull the handle up nothing happens. Any ideas?

Are we talking about Nissan Notes here? I have the same problem with my 2006 Note where the larger of the 2 split seats in the rear won't fold down. It doesn't have any side latches or boot straps and yanking it hard doesn't work either. I can't see any options other than complete removal of the whole rear seat assemby.

How to replace recline motor on driver seat for 2006 pacifica

If you pop the back panel off your seat on the bottom right hand side you will find the motor for the recline and it has one T30 bolt and a shaft going through the center witch if you remove the clip on the right side of the shaft it will slide out far enough to remove the motor.Follow the wire down to the bottom of the seat almost to the floor the plug is there. When putting in the new motor it is easiest to have some one help you by pushing the button back and forth to line up the shaft and bolt hole.hope this helps you out.

How do you let the back seat down

The third row seats have pull tabs inset into the top of the seat backs. The pull tabs are connected to wires that when pulled will release the catch that holds the seat in place.
The middle seats have the typical lever that on the outside bottom of the seat that you would use to adjust a seat manually in many cars.

2006 Ford Explorer: Back seat won't fold flat to create flat cargo area. It folds down but not flush.

Okay so im just going to start from the seat being upright in a normal riding position.

1. You need to fold the head rests first. Pull the black tab under both headrests. They should spring into a folded position.

2. pull the side seat lever (on the door side of the seat). This will fold the top/back support down to an angle.

3. There is one more lever on the backside of this seat. Its in plain sight on the angled portion of your seat. Lift the big plastic lever.

4. While keeping the handle lifted, grasp the back of the seat and pull it torwards the front of the car. The seat should come unlocked and roll forward and down more towards the floor. If you have a bunch of junk on the floor, it obviously wont work. clear the path and the seat will fold completely flat.

Also, your drivers seat and front passenger seat cannot be all the way back, they need to come forward some in order for the second row seats' head rests to clear and fold flat.
